Now, the name of this was originally supposed to be "F**k the Vote". However I heard that iTunes would pull it right off, and I don't want that to happen.

This is part 1 of my voting morning 2008. You hear from me, my daughter, ScottyJ, and a Proposition 102 supporter.

Happy Election Day! Wanted to make sure I got the audio from my live podcast at Podcamp AZ in so it was still semi-relevant.

This was a great talk with Dan from Love Long and Prosper, and everyone's favorite guest ScottyJ. We cover the presidential candidates, and several of Arizona's propositions that are going to be decided on. Today, even!

Keep watching the feed because I will be recording from the polling line, and getting an 11-yr-old perspective on the voting process. No, not Scotty- my daughter is coming to the polls with us!

Then tonight- starting at 7pm eastern, head to the live chat on the forum, and spend the evening with us as we watch all the results trickle in!

It's more fun than any sporting event I've ever seen!!!

So if you've been watching the Twitter feed, you know I am participating in Podcamp AZ this weekend. What an awesome day it was- and I get to do it all again tomorrow!

At any rate, I haven't had a chance to see what's going on around here, I will catch up after the weekend I promise. Until then, I wanted you all to know that tomorrow afternoon I will be doing a 30 minute live show from Podcamp! I will probably talk more about local issues, like our ballot propositions, but I'd love it if you all could tune in and check it out!

It's a video cast too- though I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. ;-)

Tomorrow (Sunday) at 3:30 mtn time (5:30 eastern- remember to put those clocks back everyone else (AZ doesn't do that daylight saving thing!))

    Hope you'll tune in!

I'm really glad someone emails me about these things- otherwise I'd never know!

Yes, Seekers, the show has been nominated for another award. This one is the Podcast Award, which is also called the "People's Choice" award, since anyone can vote!

I must be doing something right, because I never in a brazillion years would have expected to be nominated for such a popular award.  Frankly I'm up against so many great shows, well, let's just say I'm practicing my "It's good just to be nominated" speech. ;-)

You can see all the nominated shows in all of the categories right here:
    http://www.podcastawards.com/

Voting begins On Thursday (the 23rd). You can vote once-a-day, every day through November 6th.

Thanks to those who nominated me- it means a lot. It always does. :-)

Back from San Diego- and realized I had no time to write a show this week.

Soooo.... I called up my partner in crime Dave and we chatted for a bit, because it's easier to talk to someone else with no script than alone. A bit ended up being an hour and a half! The hate machine kept churning over the past couple of weeks, so we started in on that, and began listening to voicemail from Nobilis. There is PLENTY more coming in part 2, but for now I give you Part 1.

A topic that has received a lot of discussion on the forums, important enough to bring as the subject of this week's show. I tried to get a show together. Really, I did. The day job takes precedent however (the day job being mom), and on top of drowning in Girl Scout adventures, I'm also drowning in teeny, tiny, extremely annoying little lice bugs. I mean- ew. The bug problem is under control, but that doesn't stop all the upkeep that needs to happen until it's completely wiped out. So it's been another week of catching up with- well, I don't even know what I'm trying to catch up with. All I know is by the end of the day, the last thing I find myself wanting to do, is get a show together.

So, not this week. I am happy to say that there is the beginning of a show in the works. I've been thinking a lot about recent discussions in the forum about race and white privilege, and that's what the topic will be.

I would like to get it out before next Thursday.

I'd like a lot of things.

However, the realistic side of me knows better. I do promise that you will be the first to know when the new show is up!

Thanks as always for listening, and you'll hear me again soon!

Hey friends! Just a quick update to let you all know that I am home from all my world travels! It's been a great summer, but I am ready to get back to seeking that truth, and bring you my version of it.

I've been thinking a lot about how to improve on the show, and I think one way to help keep the news I bring listeners current is to attempt a weekly show. Yes, weekly! Now, we know me and my skills of procrastination, which is why I say attempt. We'll see what happens...

At any rate, episode #52, and a whole new "season" of Truth Seekers begins August 6th!

    See you soon!

Hey friends! I'm writing to you from Kansas, well into my big-ass road trip.  We're having a pretty good time, and if you've been following around on the mamacutler blog, then there is no need to repeat the happenings!

Anyway, while I've been away, a new podcast friend of mine, The Snarky Avenger, posted an interview he did with me a few weeks ago, and I'd like to share it with all of you. We touch a little bit on this podcast, but the bulk of it is the other side of Dani, the voice acting and audio addict side!

You can visit The Snarky Avenger and check out his show Snark Invested Waters over at http://thesnarkyavenger.com/.

Enjoy!  Hope everyone's summer is off to a good start, and I'll catch you all later!

The show no one's been waiting for!  Since the goal of Valentine's Day is sex, it's the perfect time to talk about it. Scotty J returns to chat it up, and we attempt to figure out why the hell the US is so repressed and afraid of something that is as commonplace as food.

Warning: Listening to this episode could cause blindness and hairy palms. I also cannot express just how NOT worksafe this show is. If you are offended by just about anything regarding sex, I'd skip this one.  As a matter of fact, if you just plain get offended easily, I'd skip it.

Oh yeah, you're all gonna listen. ;-)

In honor of Martin Luther King's birthday 79 years ago today, a speech originally given in 1967.  Also one I personally think encompasses what he was about even more than his "I Have A Dream" speech.

"I Have A Dream", made popular by the media, I feel because it was the easiest for white America. This speech is much more telling of the times and the viewpoints of Dr. King. A perspective that can still ring hauntingly true today in many instances. Yes, we've come far, but we as a country still have far to go when it comes to race relations.

    Enjoy, and peace.

An unexpected month between shows, apparently the effectiveness of a woman president should be questioned, why debates are practically pointless in an internet-world, not to mention that the media is the biggest violator of the first amendment.  2007? Buh-bye, good riddance, and don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out…
